What is article marketing?
Article marketing is when a webmaster will create their own articles for public release and republishing on article directory websites. From these websites, other webmasters, or those in need of content, will re-use these articles on their own websites or newsletters, and as a condition of use, they will include the authors credit text.
Of course, this can work as a benefit to you in many ways. First and foremost, every article that you publish on an article directory will gain you one quite strong backlink. This is great news right? Well, it doesn’t stop there. There are even more benefits to article marketing, some that not even the more experienced SEO enthusiasts aren’t entirely aware of.

Article spinning is basically the process of spinning an article many different ways, as to avoid the duplicate content filter. Pretty self-explanatory, however, services such as Content Distribution Network don’t just automatically distribute to other article directories, but they also distribute to others within their network. Being that others on their network are experienced article marketers, the benefit here is plain and simple. You obtain more backlinks. Not simple low value links, but backlinks from reputable sites.
Article Marketing is not all rosy though. It takes time to write a good quality article, it takes some time to be able to develop a catchy title that is not only keyword rich, but that attracts viewers. It takes time to submit the articles, and in some cases, it takes a lot of time to have your articles approved.

This is only a snippet though, and other options should be looked into. In the meantime, good luck with your article marketing! It really is one of those methods that you do need to implement now rather than later.
